The Lions have signed free agent linebacker Alfred Fincher, who spent the last three seasons with New Orleans. He was waived by the Saints in November after going on injured reserve with a concussion.

Fincher played with Lions quarterback Dan Orlovsky at Connecticut. He was drafted by the Saints in the second round of the 2005 draft. Orlovsky went to the Lions in the fifth round that year.
