Offensive coordinator Mike Martz said rookie wide receiver Calvin Johnson hit the wall physically last week, but that was to be expected.

"He's just really leg-weary," Martz said. "He's starting to recover now pretty good. The information, I think, is starting to sound like Chinese to him. But he'll sort through this. ... When he doesn't have to think about things and his legs are in shape, then he'll really progress quickly."

The 6-foot-5, 239-pound Calvin Johnson had an eight-day holdout before he signed.
